To get the best experience from your Scents of Utopia candle, please follow the below instructions.

 

• The first burning of your new candle is the most important. Allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt, edge to edge. This can take up to 4 hours. Doing so will allow the candle to build a melt pool which will also prevent tunneling.

•  DO NOT leave candle unattended or within reach of any flammable substance or objects.

•  DO NOT burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

•  Candle must be placed on flat, flame retardant, and uncluttered surfaces.

•  Keep candle away from small children or pets.

•  Allow wax to melt on all sides of vessel to ensure better performance for next burn. (This allows for an even and zero tunneling burn each time.) 

•  After each burn, trim wick with scissors or a wick trimmer to 1/4" before lighting. For wooden wicks, simply pinch burned excess off with fingers. DISCARD the trimmings.

• When candle has less than 1/4 of the wax left, the candle has finished. DO NOT continue to burn. Failure to discontinue use at this time may cause vessel to crack, shatter, and/or catch fire.

      Wooden Wick Care Instructions:

• To light the wooden wick, hold the flame to the wooden wick for 3-5 seconds. Multiple attempts may be necessary. It is helpful to allow the flame to warm some of the wax surrounding the wooden wick.

**The wooden wick exudes the sound of a soft crackling fire while burning. This sound is completely normal.
